The 20-bed Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) delivers care to adult patients who have undergone cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, heart and/or lung transplantation and placement of ventricular assist devices.
The CTICU specializes in patients who require:
- Invasive cardiac monitoring
- Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)
- Mechanical cardiac support
- Advanced care for severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)
