CCM CRISMA WEEKLY RESEARCH CONFERENCE

"About one third of critically ill patients developing acute kidney injury (AKI) will develop a persistent form known as acute kidney disease (AKD), many of which will go on to chronic kidney disease. AKD is also associated with reduced survival. Thus, the ability to predict AKD would be helpful for prognosis and could even alter management. We investigated the predictive performance of urinary biomarkers for development of AKD in patients with septic shock.”
