David John Wallace, MD, MPH, RDMS

Dr. Wallace’s research focuses on the organization and delivery of critical care within geographic regions, and seeks to improve health care quality through coordinated delivery. His near term research goals are to define critical care referral regions for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, to identify regional factors associated with centralized critical care for mechanical ventilation, and finally, to determine the association between centralized critical care and patient outcomes after mechanical ventilation. Dr. Wallace also participates as a collaborator and co-investigator on CRISMA projects related to health services and health care delivery. Dr. Wallace’s primary research platform is funded on a K08 award from the National Institutes of Health's National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
