Pediatric Neurocritical Care Fellowship Track

  • Our goal is to train pediatric intensivists to have expertise in neurocritical care
  • The fellowship is one year and is completed during the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh
  • Graduates are eligible for certification by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS)


  • Candidates must be fellows currently enrolled in the PCCM Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

  • In-person and online (stroke management and eeg interpretation) didactic courses
  • Safar Rounds – weekly case-based lecture on neurocritical care topics by Dr. Patrick Kochanek
  • High-fidelity simulation
