A warm welcome to the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine first year fellows! The PCCM fellowship program is under the direction of Melinda Hamilton, MC, MSc, with Dennis Simon, MD, as Associate Program Director.
Alicia Alcamo: An East Coast native, Dr. Alcamo completed undergrad at Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA. She earned her MD/MPH at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Alicia enjoys running, spinning, and bicycling. She set a personal goal to visit all major league baseball stadiums.
Stefanie Ames: Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Dr. Ames eventually moved to the US and attended undergrad at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed residency at the University of Utah. Stefanie loves the outdoors—traveling, running, and hiking. She even spent a week backpacking through Glacier National Park!

Kate Kernan: Dr. Kernan hails from Springfield, Massachusetts. She completed undergrad at College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA, and earned an MFA in Poetry at New England College prior to completing medical school at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Kernan enjoys running, writing, and gardening.
Andy Prout: Dr. Prout completed undergrad, graduate, medical school, and residency training all in his home state of Michigan. He attended undergrad at Hope College, earned an MD and MPH from Wayne State University and completed residency at the University of Michigan. He enjoys the outdoor and reading. Andy and his wife, Emily, are the proud parents of an 18 month old son, Caleb.
Michael Wolf: Dr. Wolf hails from New York and completed undergrad at the University of California, Berkeley, medical school and residency at Vanderbilt University. While in college, he studied aboard for a year at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. Michael enjoys cooking, painting, photography, yoga, and hiking. However, is favorite activity is being with his wife Dr. Rachel Wolf and their daughter, Eliana.
