Dr. Murugan’s article addresses the possible benefits and potential challenges of adopting the principles of personalized medicine, or precision medicine, in ICUs.

Raghavan Murugan, MD, MS, FRCP, FCCP is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Critical Care Medicine and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His research interests span a number of domains in critical illness including sepsis, acute kidney injury, organ transplantation, and mechanisms of recovery from organ dysfunction.
