Deepa Malaiyandi, MD, a second year Neurocritical Care Fellow in the Multidisciplinary Critical Care Training Program (MCCTP), has been invited to participate in the 2015 Neurocritical Care Society (NCS) Future Leaders Forum.
The Forum, which is entitled, “Critical Skills for Neurocritical Care Leadership,” brings together past presidents, committee chairs, and other NCS leaders, with those interested in future leadership positions. It will enable early career members of the NCS, like Malaiyandi, to have an opportunity to network and to participate in the discussions about the most important issues in the specialty of neurocritical care. The Forum will take place on October 6 in Scottsdale, Arizona, as a Pre-Meeting Session for the NCS Annual Meeting.
“I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to participate in the NCS’s Future Leaders Forum, which will enable me to take part in the larger conversations affecting the field of neurocritical care,” says Malaiyandi, who received her MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine (Grenada, West Indies), and who did her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee).
