Christopher Seymour Speaks at TEDx University of Pittsburgh

Tue, 04/05/2016

Christopher Seymour recently spoke at TEDx University of Pittsburgh, an independent and locally-organized TED event, held on Pitt’s campus on March 26. Seymour spoke about the recent efforts to update the definition of and approach to diagnosing sepsis, a top hospital killer that kills 1 in 10 of those it strikes. The new definition will hopefully help clinicians recognize sepsis more quickly and treat it more successfully.

Also presenting were John Fetterman, Mayor of Braddock, PA; Raymond Gastil, Director of City Planning for the City of Pittsburgh; Janera Solomon, publisher of 1839 Magazine and Executive Director of Kelly Strayhorn Theatre; Michael Boninger, Professor and Chair in the Department of Physical Medicine, University of Pittsburgh; and Kerry Harling, Ayurveda Practitioner and member of the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine.
