Health Policy & Management

Our Mission

The CRISMA Health Policy and Management Program conducts interdisciplinary research, advocacy, and education to guide stakeholders in the organization and financing of critical care services.

The program brings together health services researchers, biostatisticians and health economists throughout the University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences to study the organization, management, financing and delivery of critical care in the United States. In addition to our funded research projects, program investigators, post-doctoral fellows and students conduct a variety of internally supported research studies investigating the relationship between ICU organization and outcome at the national, state and local level. The program also oversees the University of Pittsburgh CTSI’s Comparative Effectiveness Research Data Center, a secure analytic computing research using large, public health datasets.
