Tim Rausch, CRNP

Nurse Practitioner, Neuro-Trauma ICU

Tim began his career as a volunteer with EMS in 1978 with Richland Twp. EMS. He volunteered with several EMS agencies in the Greater Pittsburgh Area before joining the City Of Pittsburgh EMS in 1983.

He attended Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1987 with his nursing diploma. He achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from LaRoche College in 1992. He worked as a registered Nurse at Allegheny General Hospital for 22 years. He gained experience in the Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Pediatric ICU and emergency departments. His career was concentrated in Emergency transportation where he spent 15 years as a flight nurse on LifeFlight.  He continued to volunteer his time with Cranberry Twp. EMS as a Prehospital Registered Nurse throughout.

He attended Slippery Rock University earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2005. He continues his post-graduate education earning his Masters of Science Degree in Nursing in 2007 as a Nurse Practitioner with concentration in Family Practice.

Since then, he has worked as a nurse practitioner in the emergency department at Heritage Valley Beaver and Allegheny General Hospitals before accepting a position in the Neuro-Trauma ICU at UPMC Presbyterian.
