Systems Programmer, The Center for Critical Care Nephrology, CRISMA
The daughter of a businessman, wife of an earth scientist and mother of a very adorable daughter, I grew up in the land of diversity, yoga and chicken tikka. I am currently staying in Pittsburgh and went to college at The University of Texas majoring in Epidemiology and biostatistics.
While in graduate school, I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston on various Oncology projects. One of the things that concern me the most about healthcare reform process is the tremendous need for technology in the developing nation and visualization of medical data to identify the unexplored through an expert eye. At MD Anderson, I had great opportunity to hone my skills at various levels.
I find myself strongly inclined towards providing healthcare support to poor and elderly people. After receiving my undergraduate degree, I participated in various state led national health programs and worked as a consultant in NGO serving rural India near Indo-Pak border focusing on primary healthcare services.
For fun, I like outdoor sports, and play chess and tennis. I aspire to learn skiing in Pittsburgh. Growing up in rural India, I routinely worked towards educating female and poor children.
